Monroe CountyThis priority action was developed based on the desire to elevate the quality of life in the county with a
focus on recreation and natural assets. The purpose is twofold: the first is to attract and retain residents

  2. An opportunity to continue to build local pride in the county
  3. A desire to create a simple and consistent user experience between city, county, and state parks within the county
  4. Create the ability to market the parks and recreational opportunities seamlessly through consistent branding, wayfinding, and marketing
  5. Improve the development of non-motorized recreation in the county through increased collaboration of plans and funding joint projects between various local governments and agencies
  6. Increase representation on/within local, regional, and state funding entities
  7. A plan to integrate and elevate new opportunities in the county as they arise (i.e. Crystal Waters State Game/Recreation Area)
